Bitmap Icon Previews: Run REGEDIT, select HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, then PAINT.PICTURE. Default Icon, and then change "value" to %1. -- In Explorer, it will give icon preview of the picture. (Original setting is cool.dll, 41)

Faster Start Menu: Run REGEDIT, select HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel \Desktop \MenuShowDelay, set values to 1-10 (Original setting is "400")

Scrap: Select text, numbers or graphics from an application and drag to Desktop -- can be reused when in need later…

Change Log off Screen: Paintbrush, Edit files Logow.sys and Logos.sys; or overwrite 320x400 and 256 color with own design.

To clear Logo Cloud: Clear attribute "Read Only" from Msdos.sys, by right clicking on Root file and Properties. Under Option add line logo=0

Controlling DOS: to change setting for "Exit to Dos" (Windows folder), bring up its Properties, get Advanced, Specify custom Autoexec.bat and Config.sys

Adding Control Panel and Sub to Start button: click Start with right mouse button, click Explore, and then right click mouse in right side panel, choose New, then Folder and type exactly as follows:

(Note! TweakUI "Desktop" tab is toggle on/off )

TCP/IP Tracking: Run "winipcfg" to see configuration. Open a Dos session and type "tracert IP address", like e-mail account, WWW page, or an FTP site. It will trace the route between own-IP and the destination address IP, showing all the computer systems along the way.

Directly to DOS: Pressing F5 at "Starting Windows 95" message on screen goes directly to Dos bypassing GUI.

(Note! F4 will start OLD OS if not Deleted yet)

Boot to DOS: Properties of MSDOS.SYS file and remove attribute r, s, h, edit the file and change the value of the field BootGUI to 0. If later want to go to graphical shell the old way, type WIN, then Enter at the dos prompt.

Deleting files without confirmation: hold down the Shift key while pressing Delete key, or Drag file(s) to Recycling Bin. Non restorable deletion!

Clear URL’s from Browser Locator or Addresses window:

RUN REGEDIT, select Key_Current_User\Software\Netscape,
or Internet Explorer, Delete unwanted URL’s

Add Printer panel to Start Menu: click Start with right mouse button, click Explore, and then right click mouse in the right side panel, choose New, then Folder and type exactly as follows:
